Ciprian Mitoceanu is a romanian horror, SF, fantasy and thriller writer, known by many critics as “A prodigious author, often described as Romania’s answer to Stephen King.”

Ciprian-MitoceanuIs born on March 19th 1976 in Suceava – a historical city in the North-East of Romania. Until now he has published three novels: Colții (The fangs), Amendamentul Dawson (The Dawson Amendment) and În sângele tatălui (In the father’s blood) – The first part in a trilogy that aroused interest among the fans before its final being published – and more than fifty short stories. In his free time he’s reading and, sometimes, he’s writing reviews for a couple of magazines and for this blog.

The favorite writers are – of course – Stephen King George, R. R. Martin, Dean Koontz, Robert Ludlum, Neil Gaiman, Jeff Vandermeer, Howard Phillips Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, Oliviu Crâznic, Michael Haulică, Marian Truţă, George Lazăr, Mircea Pricăjan, Liviu Radu, Marian Coman, Şerban Andrei Mazilu, Lucian M Angelescu, Dario Pecarov, Florin Pîtea, Alexandru Lamba and more.

His debut in English is marked by Little Mothers – in Massacre Magazine, story published also in Dark Tales of Sorrow and Despair collection.

  1. stiu ca-i „cool” sa apelam la limba engleza; totusi, avem sfanta noastra limba romaneasca si ar trebui sa o folosim cu drag si incredere.

  2. Am tras cu ochiul la antevorbitori. Bine v-am găsit domnule profesor și diriginte (al unor elevi nu al meu căci la numărul anilor vă bat)! Nu pot să vă spun decât ceva ce știți – scrieți bine!
